Almost a year ago, I posted this:

Now, strangely, I find a meaning attaches the spider and the lizard to each other that I hadn't seen before, the thing that makes them common to each other: both can seemingly defy the laws of gravity by their design. And so they can climb walls where other creatures can't, see things others can't, go places others can't. It seems such a small obvious point. And yet, it seems a great secret, too.
